A free vegetarian lunch is served daily Sunday thru Friday to all who visit Guru Ram Das Ashram. Please see the Langar page for more information.
Following in the footsteps of the Siri Singh Sahib, who met with religious leaders to promote peace and find solutions to world issues, Guru Ram Das Ashram representatives work, meet and share with leaders of other faiths and work together in mutual understanding to serve and uplift the community.
From 2001 to 2014, Sardarni Sahiba SimranKaur Khalsa, a Sikh Dharma Minister, represented the Sikh Community and Guru Ram Das Ashram Community, serving as outreach person and a Sikh representative on many interfaith councils in Los Angeles County. Since 2009, members of the Sikh community have attended the Annual Interfaith World Peace Pilgrimage up on top of Mount Baldy, in the San Gabriel Mountains. Here is a video/photo montage from 2010.
December 2009, SimranKaur recently represented the Southern California Sikh Community at the Parliament of the World's religions in Melbourne, Australia. You can view moments of her trip on this video:
